GEH Plan, Our Medical Insurance Plan Explained
Personal and Family Cover (International Expatriate Medical Insurance)

Our healthcare and medical plan has been carefully designed for expatriates and families living abroad and is designed to provide you with comprehensive cover and peace of mind. You will, therefore, be covered for in-patient and day-care hospitalisation, emergency medical evacuation, chronic condition care plus many other benefits.

Personal and Family Cover Whilst our GEH Plan is comprehensive we also offer a number of different options to provide extended cover to suit your needs and budget. Specifically you can select the following optional extensions:
  • Outpatient
  • Dental
  • Personal Accident
  • Travel
Our international GEH Plan is annual and suitable for all ages and occupations. GEH Plan health premiums are calculated according to your age. The plan is designed to be portable, so if you relocate to another country you are still covered.

GEH Plan premiums are also dependent upon the area in which you require cover for; Global Expatriate Healthcare offers coverage in the following areas:
  • Area 1 – Worldwide excluding USA, Canada and the Caribbean
  • Area 2 – Worldwide, all countries
Comprehensive Cover
Global Expatriate Health's medical insurance plan includes both chronic care and Maternity benefit as standard. Unlike many policies that are quite restrictive when it comes to chronic care, we have included this as standard in our GEH Plan. With regard to maternity we will cover up to the Policy Limits for maternity care when the Insured Person's expected delivery date is at least 10 months after the initial Date of Entry to this Policy.

Maternity Care extends to, Pre-natal examinations by a Physician, All costs of normal childbirth, Post-natal examinations by a Physician, Home Delivery See the policy and table of coverage's for more information and limits.

Medical Insurance Quotation
Your international medical insurance quotation will be provided in US Dollars, though we can also accept payment in UK Pounds Sterling or Euros. You can also spread the cost of your health insurance by paying half-yearly, quarterly or monthly.

Group and Corporate

We offer discounts for group schemes and we make switching from your current insurance provider easy by transferring your members to us on a continuous personal medical exclusions (CPME) basis and for larger Groups by offering medical history disregarded (MHD), where we do not ask you to declare your previous medical history. Transferring on these terms minimises the number of forms to fill out and your employees have peace of mind that there will be a seamless change to Global Expatriate Healthcare's GEH Plan.



Whether you have three or 250 employees, with health insurance from Global Expatriate Healthcare Limited, you'll have the reassurance of knowing that if your employees do fall ill, they have access to prompt diagnosis and treatment. With access to many recognised consultants worldwide at a time and place to suit your staff, disruption to work schedules should also be minimised. For larger groups we can tailor make a plan to suit the specific needs of your company. In addition we will cover dependents of employees on a group scheme, making it a true employee benefit package.

Upon Enrolment we will send you a Membership Pack. This will contain your Certificate of Insurance, Policy Document, Table of Benefits, Membership Card, and Claim Form. The Policy Document provides full details of the terms, conditions, limits and exclusions of your policy. It also tells you what to do and who to contact if you need treatment, or have a medical emergency, and how to make a claim. All the important contact details are also shown on your Membership card.

GEH Plan
This is our health care insurance plan. Significant time and research went into developing a medical insurance plan that would fit the needs of expatriates worldwide. Global Expatriate Healthcare dedicated itself to this task and came up with what most would consider as the ideal healthcare plan for expatriates,

This sets out the benefits and maximum amounts payable under The Global Health Plan and each of the Optional Extensions covered under your Plan

Membership Certificate
This is the confirmation of your cover and details who is covered under the Policy together with the Optional Extensions that have been selected.

Policy Document
This contains full details of the benefits, terms, conditions and exclusions of your insurance policy You can download a copy of the Policy Document by clicking on the Download Forms button.

Membership Card
This card contains your personal membership plan, coverage details and the relevant contact details that you will need in the event of an emergency or a claim. It should be carried with you at all times for quick reference and can be presented to participating hospitals to identify you as a member if you require treatment.

Medical Insurance Providers (Hospitals)
With your membership pack comes a complete listing of all hospitals that have direct settlement arrangements through the MediLink Smart Card. The list of hospitals is extensive throughout Asia Pacific and includes the majority of first class hospitals in each country.
You are, however, not restricted to these hospitals, with prior approval you may use the hospital of your choice. If the hospital of your choice does not have direct settlement arrangements with MediLink, then, you may have to settle your bill in full and claim back from us.

Claim Form
For you to complete and submit if you have a claim under your Plan where, for whatever reason direct settlement by MediLink has not been possible.

Policy Document
Unlike most conventional policy documents, which are hard to read and understand; Global's Policy Document is clear and concise. Within the Policy Document you will find an easy to understand explanation of cover and exclusions. Download a copy to fully understand what we are offering.
You should familiarise yourself with the contents of your Membership Pack, and in particular with the Policy Document and Table of Benefits so that you understand what is covered under your Plan, the applicable limits and exclusions and the Optional Extension benefits you are entitled to.
